Dustin joined Context Relevant as Director of Engineering in 2012. Previously at Microsoft and Yahoo!, he loves building systems that significantly improve large-scale processing and machine-learning for advertising, natural language and speech. He has published more than 30 papers in these areas.
Prior to joining Context Relevant, Dustin Hillard worked for Microsoft, where he worked to improve speech understanding for mobile applications and XBox Kinect. Before that he was at Yahoo! for three years, where he focused on improving ad relevance and revenue. His research in graduate school focused on automatic speech recognition and statistical translation. Dustin incorporates approaches from these and other fields to learn from massive amounts of data with supervised, semi-supervised, and unsupervised machine learning approaches.
